When it comes to designing a web presence and brand image for your business or creative venture I approach each scope of work with intention. I like to establish the ‘why’ for each project, starting with my client questionnaire. This is where I discover the purpose and the true essence of my clients business story. This then becomes the foundation for the design.
get to know Onika
I created OEDesign Studio out of my love and passion for design and creativity. I fell in love with web design while in university in my web engineering course and I knew instantly that I wanted to continue pursuing that direction.
My path to this point took many turns and a few twists but I always came back to the joy I felt when I brought a client project to life.
Born and raised on the beautiful twin island of Trinidad and Tobago I was introduced to IT at an early age by my dad who encouraged me to explore the field. This led me to graduate from the University of Greenwich with a BSc in Computing, Certification in Event Management from George Washington University and then going further to attain my MBA from the University of Wales in International Business.
Fast forward to living in London, I had an amazing opportunity to work with an International Marketing and Advertising Agency which expanded and honed my skills as a designer and content creator.
When I’m not designing I’m travelling across the Caribbean experiencing the different cultures. This then translates into the design inspiration that I channel into my design process.
